HELP WITH FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION AVAILABLE JANUARY 20
 

      PHILADELPHIA, January 11, 2007 – Families of prospective college students who are seeking help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can attend a free session on Saturday, January 20, at the Community College of Philadelphia, 1700 Spring Garden Street, in Philadelphia.
     Filling out the FAFSA form is one of the first steps in applying for financial aid for higher education. The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) is sponsoring the session, which will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
     Refreshments will be provided. Participants can enter a drawing for a $250 scholarship.
     State Senator Vince Fumo (D-Philadelphia) is the vice-chairman of the board of PHEAA. The session in Philadelphia is one of 20 that PHEAA is holding that day across Pennsylvania.
